Clear Purpose

CLEAR PURPOSE

Part four of fourteen in Commanded “Holy Days” Importance Today series

Leviticus 23:2,5:  “Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘These re My appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.’ … ‘The LORD’S Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.’”

Yahweh wants ALL His kids to observe these feasts so that we can learn our future.  Holy Days reveal His awesome purpose for humanity.  They teach why He put humans on earth, our destiny, and how we can claim it.

Although God commanded their observance over 3,500 years ago, they’re still   important today.  New Testament Believers-in-Christ join with Old Testament Hebrew Believers, Patriarchs, and Prophets in celebration of Yahweh’s appointed Holy Days.  Together, we form ONE Church that Jesus is preparing to gather to Himself soon.

Meanwhile, observing these festivals teach God’s plan for mankind’s future.  The word “feasts” in Hebrew is chag or hag that means festival or celebration.  But in Leviticus 23:37, “These are the LORD’S appointed feasts,” translates “feasts” as “appointed times” from the original Hebrew mo’edim.

Yahweh reserved these parties in advance for us to attend!

See the lesson linked below for Zechariah’s prophesy.

Biblical history shows that only a small number of people chose to obey God.   A faithful few, like Abel (Genesis 4:4), Enoch (Genesis 5:24), and Noah (Genesis 7:1) answered, “Yes” to Yahweh’s plan of salvation.

God’s providing a way for His kids to have eternal life was already in play when building His Church—starting with these few.  Each of them died certain that they’d live eternally (Hebrews 11:13, 40).

Take Home Nugget

Sending Jesus to the world simply advanced God’s plan of salvation purposed from the foundation of the world (1 Peter1:20) and:

Matthew 25:34, “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’”

Holy Days reveal God’s plan envisioned from the very beginning of Creation.  These Holy Days were never an afterthought.  They always intended to be a blueprint pointing heavenward.  Yahweh chose Abraham and the Hebrew race to showcase His plan of salvation (Galatians 3:8).

“Stay…for a while, and I will be with you...  For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.  I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed.” God repeated His covenant to Isaac in Genesis 26:3-4.  Emphasis mine showing God’s sovereign power.

Amen. Amen. Amen, Lord Jesus!
