Secret Miracle Success

SECRET MIRACLE SUCCESS

Part seven of seven in Warrior Saints series

John 6:11

“Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.  He did the same with the fish.”

“Oh, I forgot to give Papa thanks!” ten-year-old Shakira admitted to her cousin, twelve-year-old Cassie.
Cassie lowered the corn-on-the-cobb she held.  “You’re right, Shak!  How rude to forget thanking God for our food.  Papa—as you call our heavenly Father—brought our families together today!  Wanna pray right now?”

Shakira nodded her head.  “Hurry.  I’m hungry!”
Cassie and Shakira linked hands.  “Papa, thank You for this wonderful day!  Thank You for our picnic food shared with family at this fun park!  Won’t You play with us, Jesus?  Amen!”

Shakira giggled saying, “Amen.”  She popped a small brownie into her mouth, patted the bench and mumbled, “Jethuth, thit here!”
They both laughed out loud.  They spent a perfect day thanking God for the swing sets, baseball field, the merry-go-round and the lightening bugs they caught before returning home.  They were inseparable.

Jesus and his disciples were inseparable three years during His walking ministry.  Jesus’ life was marked with thanksgiving.  He thanked His Father all day long.  THEN, Jesus thanked his Father for hearing Him whenever he prayed.
Jesus’ secret miracle success is thanking the Father for hearing His prayers, believing that He would receive that for what he asked.

In John 6:1-13, Jesus took a boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish and fed 5,000 people!
Could you store twelve baskets of leftover abundance the disciples collected afterwards?  Have you thanked God for His provisions you stuff into your ‘frig—AND freezer?
Let’s make a habit of thanking God for hearing our prayers—then believing that He will do whatever we ask!  (See crucial teaching lesson, linked below).

An “attitude of gratitude” sees life through faith eyes.  Jesus stood outside Lazarus’ tomb.  The situation seemed hopeless.

Jesus promised Martha, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”
“So they took away the stone.  Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that You have heard Me.  I knew that you always hear Me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing there, that they may believe that You have sent Me.”

            “Lazarus, come out!” (John 16:40-43).

Raising Lazarus back to life was another of Jesus’ miracles.  Let us learn His secret miracle success:  Thank God for hearing your prayer requests, and believe that He’ll grant it!

Lord Jesus, in Your name I pray for enough faith to believe that nothing is impossible for God.  Thank You for hearing my prayer, Amen.
