BELIEVERS’ VICTORY
Part 10 of 12 in Train to Reign Series
1 Corinthians 1:17-31
Verse 30: “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.”
Now Train to Reign series becomes personal. This is where believers walk a different path than the path the world walks. We’re not only citizens of earth; Saints’ forwarding address is heaven. The opening Scripture defines you as righteous, holy and redeemed. Where, O Death, is Your Victory? devotion showed that believers, as Jesus’ church, are waiting for Jesus’ return to keep His divine appointment with us.
It all happened on the cross. There is no shame in wearing a cross. It signifies believers’ victory! Because Jesus triumphed in death, He won victory for His followers on earth. We look eagerly to the bodily change that will happen when Jesus returns for us. But glorious bodies are only the tip of the iceberg of “cross stuff” that you can claim right here and now.
The cross brought salvation to you and every believer in Christ. If Jesus hadn’t shed His blood and died in our place, we’d have to stand before God in judgment! Even the best people are in sinners’ boat, if it weren't for the cross. We’d all be sunk! We’d be raised to eternal death after our earthy lives end—instead of eternal life! But victory came the day you accepted Jesus as Lord. Live joyfully, fellow believer—regardless of any circumstance.
Romans 6:6-7 reminds believers, “For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin....” You’ve been freed from sin. God, living inside every believer, empowers us to be free from sin today!
Every time you obey God, Satan is defeated—again! The devil lost the battle when Jesus was resurrected from the dead. And now, he’s lost his power over believers’ lives. The total list of human sin was nailed to Jesus’ cross. Now, no sin that the devil accuses you of will stick! Our heavenly Father sees you as blameless, righteous, and holy—all because you believe in Jesus!

It’s no wonder that you’re a follower of Jesus! He met all your needs on the cross. He adopted you into God’s family, where you belong. Jesus confirmed your value. Jesus guarantees you a victorious life.

What an honor it is to meet you!
My background is a life time of worship, but seriously following Jesus came with age. Spiritual maturity is a leap of faith. Sometimes we don’t know what we’re missing until living on the edge of God’s leading.
